As a new wife I am constantly learning what it is to create a marriage that helps bring joy and honesty to mine and my husband’s life. It is always, always a team effort. Sometimes, however, one of us can’t give 100%. Someone has to give 80 because all the other can give is 20. My husbands’ grandmother always tells me this: a marriage is not always 50/50, in fact it rarely is. Sometimes one of us will not be able to put in our share, and that is okay. That is why you choose a life partner, to help you carry the load when it is too heavy, and vice versa.
